An extremely versatile grape varietal, Syrah can be coaxed into a myriad of different styles, from the rich and earthy Rhone and Hermitage wines of France to the fruit bomb Shiraz wines of Australia, and the big power houses from the States.

Our 2007 Ash Hollow Estate Syrah is "Old World" in style with a little "New World" attitude! Notes of violets, cassis, barnyard, plum, and smoke on the nose. Medium bodied, the intense cherry and blackberry flavors on the front of the palate are balanced with dark chocolate and rich tobacco.

This Syrah is 100% from Ash Hollow Vineyard. The wine is barrel aged for twelve months in 70% Neutral French Oak and 30% New Hungarian Oak.
