Our Wine Clubs
You asked for it, and we responded...with not one, but two Wine Clubs!
We've created two tiers to our Wine Club which offer slightly different benefits to our customers so you decide what's best for you. You have the option of joining our Cordon Club or our top tier exclusive Canopy Club.
Both Our Clubs Include the Following Benefits:
- Free membership. No cost to join.
- Access to purchase wine throughout the year in our online wine shop at your special-discount club rate.
- First notifications via e-mail of new & special release wines.
- "Winemaker's Choice" option: Surprises are nice! Winemaker Tony Lombardo will personally choose your wines which may include reds, whites, and rosés.
- "Reds Only" option: Our winemaker will select only red wines for your wine club shipments.
- E-newsletters with Ash Hollow Happenings, wine-pairing recipes, and special event invitations.
- Courtesy E-mail reminders of scheduled club shipments.
- Gift Memberships Available for both clubs.
Premier Tier: Canopy Wine Club
Receive quarterly shipments of three bottles in February, June, September, and December.- Discounts:
- 20% off each wine club shipment.
- 20% off all other on-line or tasting room bottle purchases.
- 20% off all case / mixed-case on-line or tasting room purchases
- Special offers and discounts for Canopy Club members through an online wine shop that only Canopy Club Members have access to.
- Never a tasting fee for members & their guests.
Basic Tier: Cordon Club
Receive bi-annual shipments of three bottles in June and December.- Never a tasting fee for members & their guests.
- Discounts:
- 10% off each wine club shipment.
- 10% off all other on-line or tasting room bottle purchases.
- 10% off all case / mixed-case on-line or tasting room purchases
A Few Thoughts About Our Wine Clubs:
Below is an excerpt from an email we sent in response to one of our wonderful Canopy Club Wine Club members who inquired about our pricing philosophy and the thinking behind how we designed our wine clubs. We thought if they had a question, others may also, so here's our response:
"Thank you for contacting us & thank you for being a valued Ash Hollow Canopy Club member. We sure understand your concerns; please allow us to explain our thinking and address your questions.
We warehouse and ship our wines via an independent third party warehouse. They charge a packaging and handling fee for each shipment of wine we send whether it's a wine club shipment, an on-line order, or a request via our tasting room. We know that shipping is expensive with rising fuel costs, etc, and we knew that the warehouse was going to charge a packaging & handling fee, so we did two things.
First, we feel we priced our wines very reasonably; at least that's what we hear regularly from restaurants, wine shops, and our customers. We believe that all of our wines over-deliver for the price considering they are estate, hand-grown, hand-harvested, low-production, premium boutique, consistently delicious wines from Walla Walla. As a Canopy Club member, you always receive a 20% discount on all wine purchases. If you compare our wines to others, we think you'll find that they are a wonderful value.
Secondly, we designed our wine club so that you only receive 3 bottles per shipment & 3 different wines each time to try (see above for "Winemaker's Choice" & "Reds Only" options). For the Canopy Club, that's only a case (12 bottles) per year. Compared to other clubs that send a lot more wine per year, and several bottles of the same wine, we felt 3 bottles per shipment was really reasonable given the value. Each club shipment runs about $100 to $150. Three different bottles gives you a chance to try different wines and decide which ones you'd like to purchase on-line. Your on-line club customer profile automatically calculates and gives you a 20% discount on all purchases. We never charge a tasting fee for wine club members and all their guests here at our tasting room, and you always receive that 20% discount here as well.
As for placing a price range or selection option on wine club shipments, we apologize, but we are simply not currently able to accomplish those options. Different scenarios for different club members would make it nearly impossible to get them right. What we do offer is to hold your wine club shipment here at the tasting room; we'd love it if you'd come visit us to pick up your wine club wines and save the shipping and handling fees. We have several club members who do this when they come visit.
If the Canopy Club is too much wine for you, we'd be happy to "downgrade" you to the Cordon Club which is only two shipments per year and a 10% discount; just let us know. Wine Club Agreements
By joining one of Ash Hollow's wine clubs, our members agree to the following:
Due to the pricing and discount structure received, they agree to honor a one year commitment to the club joined.
Members certify that they are at least 21 years of age and acknowledge that someone at least 21 years of age must be present to sign for wine deliveries.
Members agree that they are responsible for costs incurred if their wine club shipment is returned to the winery for reshipment.
Members agree to notify the winery at least two weeks prior to a scheduled wine club shipment with any changes in billing and/or shipping information. We send our members a courtesy e-mail reminder for each upcoming club shipment.
